Acne Relief Program

Through close observation and lifestyle changes, clear skin can be possible!

The Acne Relief Program is a customized skincare treatment plan tailored to you. An extensive one-on-one treatment between you and our Acne Specialist. The first step of this program is a consultation to educate you on the anatomy and physiology of acne, debunk myths associated with acne, discuss triggers, pore-clogging ingredients and conduct a sensitivity test to determine a proper home-care regimen.

Bi-weekly treatments dig deep into internal triggers that could be causing inflammation or acne, like foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, and common ingredients in skincare formulations (even professional and prescription). Progression photos, extractions, hydrating treatments, and chemical peels are provided for a clear recovery without the side effects of medication.

Consultation: Complimentary | First Appointment: $185 | Biweekly Treatment: $100

Acne 101

What is Acne?

Acne is an inherited disorder of the pores - pores that shed dead skin cells much faster the normal. Normal pores shed about one layer of dead skin cells per day inside the pore. The acne-prone pore sheds up to five layers of dead skin cells per day, and the body can’t keep up. This forms the microcomedone, the beginning of all acne. Taking up to 90 days, it turns into blackheads or congestion under the skin; or if bacteria are present (which love to feed on dead skin cells and oil), it turns into inflamed pimples or pustules and maybe even cysts.

What causes Acne?

Acne is caused by three factors: inflammation, oil, and dead skin cells. Inflammation is caused by lifestyle habits that result in excess oil production on the skin, causing the dead skin cells that shed to become stuck by this abundance of oil. Normal pores shed about one layer of dead skin cells per day, while acne-prone pores shed up to five layers per day. This accumulation of oil and dead skin cells creates a clog in the pore, and your skin becomes a buffet for C. Acne bacteria to feed on. The combination of bacteria, excessive oil production, and hyperkeratinization of dead skin cells creates the acne lesion.

How long will it take to get clear?

Because it takes 90 days for acne to form, you may still have 90 days of acne that will surface. Our acne products and protocols will keep new acne from forming that would surface 90 days from now. The Face Reality Acne System will have your acne under control in about three to six months (in most cases), depending on your type of acne. Some types of acne can take longer to clear. Your Acne Specialist will customize a home care regimen that takes at least five things into consideration - your type of acne, your skin type, your skin color, your skin sensitivity, and your environment. The biggest part of getting your skin clear will be your commitment to doing your home care regimen as instructed and following lifestyle guidelines.
